Customer Notifications and Product Recall Procedures
Armor is safety gear and we want to be able to communicate with you quickly, if we need to pass along important information.
GTS has established certain customer notification procedures in the unlikely event of customer notification(s) involving product or procedural deficiencies. As part of our risk management procedures, we have developed rapid customer contact protocols.
It is important that we have your updated contact information. The best way to make sure is to register for your GTS account in the upper right hand corner of our main website header. You can click on the head and shoulders icon to create an account. Otherwise, you can simply opt in for an account when you make your purchase.
Below is an excerpt from our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that describes our general process for getting in touch with customers on a wide-scale. A link to this page and other important information is added to the website main page. The relevant home page section will be moved into a prominent position if there are any active customer communications requirements. The below is not a complete copy - but sufficient to describe our process and expectations for communication.
3.1.2 Customer Alerts and Product Recall Procedures
Immediate communication with customers may be necessary. Although we do not anticipate this occurring, there are instances that require this type of communication. Some of these may be precipitated by factors beyond the immediate control of the company. Urgent customer communication may be defined in the following ways:
-
Customer Notice (CN): This is a notice to customers that involve non-ballistic materials and situations that do not impact the ballistic performance of the armor.
-
Product Recall (PR): Although rare, a product recall may be necessary for one or more batches of products that have already been delivered to customers. A PR is more urgent than a CN because it involves ballistically related ingredients.
This page will serve as the communications portal should a PR or CN occur.
