The KommandoStore Strelka Defender ceramic armor plate set represents a unique approach to body armor design. Unlike traditional two-plate systems, this 4-piece configuration uses a split-plate arrangement where the top and bottom plates overlap by approximately 2 inches. This overlap eliminates the vulnerable gap that can exist in standard plate systems while maintaining the flexibility and comfort needed for tactical operations.

The plates are manufactured using proprietary ARMORFILM™ adhesives that are 100% sourced and made in the USA, ensuring consistent bonding performance and long-term durability. Aramid and carbon fiber crack arresting layers help control ceramic fragmentation during impacts, reducing dust and maintaining structural integrity. The UHMWPE backing plate provides additional strength and helps manage backface deformation to protect against blunt force trauma.

Defender 2 System Integration:

These plates are custom-sized to fit the KommandoStore Strelka Russian Defender 2 carrier system. The split-plate design is specifically engineered for the Defender 2's unique pocket configuration, ensuring proper fit and ballistic performance. When installed in the carrier, the overlapping plate arrangement provides continuous protection across your vital organs while allowing natural body movement.

The Defender 2 system's weight distribution across four plates rather than two can reduce fatigue during extended wear. RF3 configuration weighs approximately 15.6 pounds total for all four plates, while RF2 configuration weighs approximately 13.5 pounds total. Each plate features edge-to-edge ceramic coverage with minimal rubber edging, maximizing the protected area within the carrier pockets.
