Model 1023
Model 1023 NIJ certified lab report
Development History:
Model 1023 is recommended for those that want normal muzzle velocity protection against the .30 M2AP (and below) ballistic threats. This armor is nearly identical to our Model 1969, except that Model 1023 uses a thinner backing plate (less polyethylene) and a slightly thinner crack arresting layer on the ceramic strike face. Model 1023 does not have full ceramic fragmentation control like Models 9042 and 9795. Model 1023 evolved from the previous Model 6906 but utilizes a thinner polyethylene backing material.
