  • Model 9049: Set RF3 Level 4 Edge-to-Edge Ceramic Armor Plates

  • All 9049 plates have trauma reducing plates (TRPs) that limit BFD.  All 9049 plates have crack arresting technology that eliminates (or nearly so) ceramic fragmentation.
  • Tested to resist and PASS 6 rounds of .30 M2AP (see image of lab report or click Model 9049 NIJ Ballistic Test Report. Sample was also drop tested 2X and submerged. All projectiles were below the NIJ 44mm maximum.
  • American-made polyethylene high performance crack arresting layer.
  • Better than competitor plates: We use a crack arrestor, PE backers (no glass) and a ceramic tile array. 
  • Edge-to-edge ceramic coverage.
  • Shooter's cut (SAPI top and angled lower corners).
  • Effective, mosaic style ceramic strike face constructed from individual, high quality 99% ceramic tiles.
  • Weight: 7.9 pounds each. About a full pound lighter than many other models the same size.
