These plates are custom-manufactured to match the Russian Granit Size 2 dimensions and multi-curve profile. The sizing and shape are specifically designed to fit carriers made for the Granit armor system. Depending on your final size requirements, there could be a very thin rubber edge on the plate. Exact measurements are customizable - please ask questions or order as image measurements indicate.

Ballistic Performance & Design:

Choose between RF2 or RF3 protection levels based on your threat assessment needs. RF3 configuration is tested to resist multiple rounds of .30-06 M2 AP armor-piercing ammunition. RF2 configuration provides multi-hit capacity for RF2 threats including M193, M855, 7.62 x 51mm M80, and 7.62 x 39mm MSC.

The mosaic ceramic design uses an array of individual 99%+ pure alumina ceramic tiles rather than a single monolithic piece. This approach provides significant advantages in multi-hit scenarios - when a projectile impacts the plate, the damage is contained within the affected tile and immediately surrounding area, while the rest of the plate maintains its full protective capability. Superior Materials & Construction:

GTS manufactures these plates using a controlled pressure process that ensures consistent bonding and performance. The 99%+ pure alumina ceramic provides superior hardness and fracture resistance compared to lower-purity alternatives. Better and stronger than competitor plates: We use a crack arrestor, UHMWPE backers (no glass) and a ceramic tile array. The competition does not.

The plate construction includes crack arresting layers made from aramid and carbon fiber materials. These layers help control ceramic fragmentation during impacts, reducing ceramic dust and increasing multi-hit capability. All components are bonded using proprietary ARMORFILM™ adhesives where 100% of the adhesive, including all source ingredients, is made in the USA. This is a critical differentiator - most armor manufacturers use imported adhesive materials even when claiming USA production.

The rough polyurea coating on top of 1000 denier nylon provides a durable, textured outer surface that resists wear and provides good grip characteristics. The multi-curve design conforms to your body for improved comfort during extended wear.
