We are working with several providers of Fort Defender 2 carriers to provide exclusive, custom built armor plate sets.  We will keep you updated on our progress.  In the meantime, we continue to build strong, custom Fort Defender 2 armor.

  • Made in the USA with the world's strongest materials.
  • Set RF2 or RF3 Edge-to-Edge Ceramic Armor Plates 
  • RF3 is tested to resist 6 rounds of .30 M2AP on a full 10" x 12" SAPI (see testing tab in main navigational menu). This plate set uses the same build layup as the Model 1023. RF2: Multi-hit capacity for RF2 threats. Multi-hit capability dependent upon shot placement and plate sizing.
  • Better and stronger than competitor plates: We use a crack arrestor, PE backers (no glass) and a ceramic tile array.
  • Depending on the customer's final size, there could be a very thin rubber edge on the plate. Exact measurements are customizable - please ask questions or order as image measurements indicate.
  • Effective, mosaic style ceramic strike face constructed from individual, high quality ceramic.
  • We use 99%+ alumina tile.
  • May be available in silicon carbide, please ask.
  • Our manufacturing system applies constant, predictable pressure throughout the manufacturing process.  
  • Standalone functional armor.
  • Thickness: RF3: .9" RF2: .75" single-curved shape. Can be custom ordered in a flat configuration (reduces thickness because there is no arch in the armor) with some lead time. The vast majority of these are ordered in single-curve.
  • Weight per top plate: 3.4 pds. Bottom plate: 4.4 pounds. Total weight for all four plates using alumina ceramic is approximately 15.6 pounds RF3 and 13.5 pounds RF2.
  • Color: Black.
  • Standard: 0101.07 RF2 or RF3
  • Ballistic Material: alumina ceramic 99% pure and UHMWPE backing material.  Includes aramid and carbon fiber crack arresting layer.
  • ARMORFILM™ 100% MADE IN USA adhesives (including source ingredients).
  • Ballistic Performance: RF3: All Level 3+ threats, PLUS M2 AP (.30 caliber armor piercing ammunition). RF2: M193, M855, 7.62 x 51mm M80, 7.62 x 39mm MSC. Multi-hit capable and supported by NIJ-approved labs professional testing. Multiple hit tested by NIJ labs.
  • Outer Material: Black, 1000 denier water resistant nylon
  • See ballistic tag for WARNINGS and wear/use details.
  • This product complies with NIJ Standard 0101.07 for Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor.

Wilson was a great help to me in getting these plates. The plates are very high quality and packaged very well to protect them en route. I chose these plates because the I believe the anti frag top fabric will potentially give me a better chance at staying in the fight by not getting ceramic fragments and dust in my eyes and keeping the ceramic in place will potentially keep the integrity of the plates for greater multi hit performance. Wilson also was a big factor in this purchase. He was great at answering all my questions and helping me to pick the best set for me. I would highly recommend these plates. They are top notch quality.

Listen these plates are amazing quality I’ve paid for the more known brands at a way higher price and they are literally not even as well made as these, I have absolutely zero negative things to say the shipping was fast and very well packaged and the plates stop atleast 4 rounds of 30-06 ap what’s not to love. I just hope that this company stays true to its roots the more they become known unlike other companies that raise prices and lower standards the more known they are. Highly recommend.
