Transparency in the Body Armor Industry

I have been an inner-city police officer (body armor user) and a seller (reseller and manufacturer).  I have seen the industry from a number of angles.  Although we are learning new things even today - there are some obvious things that the body armor industry could improve on.  One of those is transparency.

There are three types of instigators of opaque behavior: 1. Intentional. 2. Unintentional. 3. Clueless.  I admit that I have belonged to type 2 and sometimes (in the beginning) to type 3.

I have been thinking about all of this since starting our new TikTok channel (click here).  The best responses to our videos come from segments that focus on clearly explaining how body armor is constructed and how to avoid pitfalls.  So, I am going to start a new series on TikTok called something like "Secrets of Sellers."   This series of videos will identify specific examples of how the armor industry lacks transparency via the three types of motivators above.

It's easy to sell anything when the whole product is covered up by a cover... I am going to show you how we are peeling back the gimmicks and the lack of explanation... showing you what you are really getting for your money.  Beyond the financial aspect, you need to understand the specific type of protection you are buying.

"Some" sellers are just acting as middlemen and don't know any better. Others are purposefully attempting to cover up the truth.  We will address it all on our channel. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Stay tuned and feel free to ask questions!
